after hearing the 111 system is down and tv3 advertising the fire/police 03 landline numbers, I hope Vodafone and Telecom have activated these specific numbers as free numbers, else no one will get thru, especially people in need of help and with no prepay credit unable to call 111.

I am told 111 is still working. Please use that number.

The 111 system is up and working. Dialling 111 from a mobile should always be the primary number since these calls are handled completely differently by the mobile network and given priority.
