Hi,
I had a phone brought from Vodafone UK which it couldn't be used in Vodafone NZ sim card. Is there a chance to unlock it ? Cheers

Hi guys,

Sorry but I really only have tools to unlock SonyEricsson phones and Nokia phones (and even then only older models now)

I'm too busy these days with other things so my little unlocking hobby has kind of fallen by the wayside.

I'm not sure if Kiwiboi still visits these forums or not (as I haven't visited in quite a while) but he might be worth contacting, he seems to "know what he's talking about" when it comes to unlocking.

Cheers,

Tim aka muppet

Vodafone UK will give you the unlock codes but the usual catches apply - if the phone was purchased on contract or subsidised prepay then they will generally give you these codes after 12 or 18 months. If the phone is newer than that then you should be able to get the codes if you pay for it.

I bought the phone on Ebay so not sure how it was purchased. So there is no way to unlock it here ???? Anyway, thanks for all the help, I really appreciate that. Cheers

Take it to some Asian looking mobile shops they will unlock it for you but you will have to pay $50. I know one in Christchurch, but again, I'm one eye blind so don't know lots about elsewhere.

I already went to those shops but they said the phone too new so they couldn't unlock it. I might try to buy usb cable to unlock it myself. Thanks heaps

The Sharp phones are one of the worst/hardest phones to unlock, good luck.
