Hello

ZyXEL P-2702R

Does anybody know how I can get this device to register on VFX? Have tried calling the helpdesk with no luck getting this device working via WAN to a 3com Officeconnect ADSL router.

Cheers, any tips much appreciated. Cool

Shouldn't be hard. Like all VoIP devices there are only a very small number of settings required for a basic setup. In the case of WxC its SIP proxy, SIP username, SIP AuthID and SIP password.

Thanks for the quick replies. Would I need to make the WAN connection to the ADSL router a DHCP connection or PPPoE connection. Would I need to setup any port forwarding on the ADSL router for this device.

SIP Server Address?
SIP Service Domain?

I have the proxy as pan.wxnz.net

Any other servers I can try?

Cheers :)

DHCP or better a Static IP, pan is correct but without seeing the setup page hard to guess what you have setup

Guess here will be, can you show the advanced field

A few fields which look to be confusing

Account Name : Whatever you want
Number: (your VFX Number without the 0...eg 9950xxxx)
SIP Display Name: 09950xxxx

SIP Server: pan.wxnz.net

username: this may be the authid
password: password

Try that and see how you go, if you send me your number I can look and see what fields are being populated by the Zyxel
