Ok I have brought a new Sonyericsson T707 from China I thought wow what a cheap phone even with the exchange rate. So thinking I had the best deal I tried to send a pxt well that didn't work so i try to get on to vodafone live and yes you guessed it, I got nothing. I have read the settings for vodafone on this site but nothing seems to work I have even gone to the sonyericsson site by that has nothing I can use.
So I guess im asking can anyone help me to connect
these are my internet settings.

External ID:
APN:
Username:
Password:
Login request:
IP Address:
DNS address:
Authentication:
Data compression:
Header compr:
Proxy settings:
Any help would be so cool also can someone tell me what is SIP settings?Frown

Have you tried just "internet" for the name and APN.

That should be all you need to set to get internet working.

SIP settings should be set as you won't be doing VoIP over mobile.

thanks to all who replyed i tryed everthing so i took the phone into vodafone and guess what the phone has been damaged and it useless it goes to show buyer beware.

If your handset is not listed pick the next best thing

OTA = Over the Air, which means setting changes and updates are done over the mobile network directly to the handset, instead of being done manually on the phone by the user or updated via a computer.

How can they tell? Are you sure they aren't just saying that because they can't be bothered sorting it for you, seeing as you didn't buy from them?

And that phone would be closest to the W508 (or the vodafone model thats similar) wouldn't it, so maybe try those settings

Did you take it into a Vodafone Owned shop or a reseller like Digital Mobile etc


if it was the later I would not be surprised if they said that just to try sell you a phone.
