Hi guys,

I am looking to bring in a phone that has the following specs:

2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100

Will this work on Voda 3G? From what I've read it'll work on XT, but not sure about Voda.

Thanks

Yes it will work on Vodafone 3G but not Vodafone 3G extended

http://www.vodafone.co.nz/coverage/

Purple 2G / GSM 900/1800mhz
Red 3G 2100mhz
Orange 3G extended 900mhz

In other words on Vodafone it will work on 3G in the main centres, not everywhere.

Thanks guys.

Assume it's OK for XT everywhere?

Kamo
Glenorchy
Nelson
Timaru
Omaru
Bluff
Invercargill

and more these show on the coverage Map

Yes XT is 100% 3G 850mhz with some 2100mhz 3G infill capacity (not coverage)

Those are pretty major towns though. The big downside will be the area between big towns where you'll be stuck with GPRS

Someone needs to make a thing where you tick what options your phone says it supports and it pops out and say "Yes this will work on X network"

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.
