Just received this:

Great news- yr mobile plan just got better.From 18Jul we're QUADRUPLING yr TXTS included in yr plan to 2500 to any NZ mobile p/month@no extra cost.Happy TXTing!

I don't use 150 texts a month let alone 2500, but its a nice gimmick to keep us loyal's happy. How about permanently doubling minutes instead?

The "current life of the plan" offer is effectively permanent doubling isn't it?

I could not be happier with signing up to smart plan recently, $500 handset subsidy, unlimited texts (I will never use 2500 txts in a single month ever), and "whilst stocks last" unlimited data (again i will struggle to ever come even close to using the 3gb/mth promo deal),

i use around 700 txts a month, that is mostly for spamming mates and short replies

I switched to 2degrees about a month ago because Vodafone didn't offer this, they're really just matching the competition, coming in pretty late really. Because 2degrees regularly has problems delivering txt promptly I almost switched back when I saw the plan change, but 2degrees gives me twice as many minutes for the same money. If 2deg keep stuffing txt up i'll switch back though, Vodafone were always very reliable for me.

I would have preferred $10 off my plan instead of 4x the texts, I sent 29 texts last month.

Can I trade 2000 of those texts for say 100 free international texts? I rarely text anyone, and when I do, it's usually to overseas (local people, I just call)
