Hey Guys,

I just got the new N80 today (awesome phone by the way) and cannot seem to install/open any .sis files. The files I am trying are themes and 'file transfer' from my N70. It says 'installation of *** is not supported'.

When I got my N70, I needed to tell the phone to install any software regardless of certificate by going into Application Manager but the N80 is already set to do this so I cannot figure it out?

Can anyone help?

Thanks :)

The n70 is S60 2nd edition, n80 is S60 3rd edition.

You need a newer version of the software for it to install on the n80.

So basically I need to upgrade the software on the brand new handset? The theme I am trying to load onto the N80 is a theme created specifically for the N80 so I assume it should have been compatable???

Nope, the software on the handset is ok. Perhaps the software you are trying to install is old. You say it was developed for the N80, but perhaps there's another version?

Maybe, although I downloaded the theme from the edge website and have never had this problem before... I assume its some sort of security setting on the phone and will play around with it tonight and see if I can get it working...

Thanks heaps for your help anyway will let you kniw if I figure it out :)
