Since getting my new phone(Samsung Galaxy Mini) I text Australia and the text arrives there more or less instant. If my text is replied to, or a text get sent from there, it sometimes doesn't get received by my phone for up to 24hrs. Anyone else have this problem?

The title of your thread should be SMS issue from AU delayed, I would not say related to Vodafone NZ either

The issue will not be handset related,

What network are the SMS coming from?

Thanks for the reply.

This only has started happening since I have got the new phone. My daughter who texts quite often is on Vodafone Australia. If I use my husbands phone(2'') she can text me and it comes through in seconds.

A handset would not normally delay a incoming SMS

VFAU and Optus are quite unreliable sometimes ... this I'm talking about MMS receipt being delayed both ways.

Sometimes my calls (either way) goes straight into voicemail when there is full signal.

Only very occasionally sms gets delayed but I have had at least one that I can remember ...

My experience may or may not be related though ...

Vodafone NZ do not a PXT (MMS) interconnect with Optus
