got a txt from Vodafone (caller id is "Vodafone"). saying that if you txt "YES" to 4114 by 27 october, to get 1000 free txt for 1 month. invalid if forwarded.

How real is this, i don't know. so beware.

If anyone else got this too, then we can sort of be sure it is from vodafone directly, otherwise we'll have to wait till vodafone makes formal announcement.

I have just replied to the txt from Vodafone. This is genuine, though few questions still exist.

Is this only for on account customers? And this free 1000 txt, is it continueing the previous free txt weekend (021/029 to 021/029 only)? Of 1000 txt to all NZ mobiles?

It doesn't look like I'm one of their valued customers - I sent a TXT to 4114 to see if my number was logged and got back a reply saying I'm not but to visit www.vodafone.co.nz/youchoose to get a great deal..

What new "deal" exactly are you referring to?

The fact that Vodafone give some customers promos and not others really annoys me.

The fact that i spend much more than most Prepay users do yet they get all the promos also annoys me.


I'm entitled to have an opinion without comments like "having a cry".

don't envy me... patience is a virtue and those who wait long enough will enjoy much sweeter fruits.

trust me, i have wished that i could benefit and enjoy a lot of other things that I can't get while others have... but under going this period does train one to appreciate things and be patience.

True. But then spell it out. Simply saying "Company A knows how piss people off" doesn't help the discussion. And the Company A lurkers around here won't even know what the feedback is on about.
