Currently I have a few friends/family in Tawa Wellington sharing a 200Mbps UFB connection via a secure wireless network.

There is however one house I can't quite get to, so I am looking for anyone who currently lives in Tawa, preferably on the hill, to bounce a signal off. They in turn will get a share of a 200Mbps unlimited UFB connection.

Currently every house pays $30 for unlimited access, however this goes down as more people join. If your house is a big help to me, I could even arrange to give you free internet.

Reliability is very good. The core network is on battery backup and I give notice when I perform maintenance. Each connection is separate from another for security.

PM me if your interested.

^ Who is this guy?

I'm pretty sure this is against TCs of most ISPs.
If you want to run your own ISP, you have to purchase dedicated bandwidth off a provider.

Last thread you created, indicated you were staying with Snap.

I wonder what Snap would say about this?

EDIT:

6. You must not resell the service(s) to others without the express written permission of an authorised Snap representative.

Hope he's got written permission from Snap...

kingjj: As for the topic, plenty of people have discussed doing this on GZ or admitted to doing so. Not a week goes by without someone asking the best method for sharing a connection between different sites. Why the witch hunt this time?

The reason why is normally when we have seen posts or commented on people sharing the internet it has been situations like a farmer couldn't get dsl. In that situation I have recommended checking out the maps and talking to their neighbours who can and asking if they can install their own connection into their neighbours house and the first person plays for the connection.

This is someone effectively running a service with who knows how many people connected up to it, presumably for a profit. This is so they can bounce wifi through their house so they can add yet another person to the network.
It sounds a lot like they are a wireless ISP to me as we don't know how many are covered in the frieNDA network. So any torrents or even worse unlawful content falls on whoever is the account holder.

And you think these two use cases are the same???
