I have a free 2talk 028 number which is connected to a softphone (3cx phone) on my computer.

I can call the 028 number from my two degrees cellphone number, and vice versa. I can call my vodafone business landline from the 028 softphone.

However when I call the 028 number from my business landline it just gives some sort of disconnected signal (not the engaged signal or anything like that.)

live.2talk.co.nz shows my number is online and from the right IP address.

Does anyone have any clues as to what I am doing wrong?

That's weird.

The number is

0288920xx - and that is my login to the 2talk website and works to log the soft phone in to their SIP system.

If I call that number from my celllphone it connects to the softphone, but it won't work from my landline.

If I put an extra 9 in the number, 02889920xx then it works from the landline.

I recall there was an extra digit added to the number at some point after I registered. However I was fooled by the fact that this extra digit is not needed to log into the 2talk system.

So TL;DR I was dialling the wrong bloody number from the landline. Why it works from my cellphone I wouldn't know.
