Hello I need assistance with configuring my FreePBX Trunk to CallPlus. The service has been enabled by Callplus on the CallPlus "Private Voip Network" for my site. We are connected by UFF and CallPlus have configured their supplied Cisco router on our site.

The FreePBX server has been configured with a virtual VLAN connection to connect to the correct Cisco Port and is now able to ping the Cisco SIP Gateway so essentially there is no firewall (CallPlus Private Network). Historically I have configured Trunks to connect to other VoIP providers, Slingshot, Snap, Skype and World Exchange OK.
I have the CallPlus Detail but am not sure how to configure the Trunk on FreePBX for this particular SIP service.

1. I need assistance to get the Callplus trunk connected and functional
2. Is there someone I can contact to help me with this?

Advice gladly accepted - Thank you

Michael

I have resolved the issue, all the trunks now working etc – Just need to get CallPlus to turn the redirects off the phone numbers. Yes it was a small thing. It appears to be a valid gateway entry on one of the FreePBX VLANs. I removed it and the trunking sprang to life. I am not sure why it held pre-eminence over the local LAN gateway configuration. May be someone could enlighten me on this?

  • CallPlus answered all my queries:
  • NAT off - Yes but not for the Internet route
  • What is the External Address for the PBX - For this I used the CallPlus internet static IP
  • Can CallPlus see 10.38.23.125 - Yes there system could communicate
  • Are Ports OK - Yes
  • What Codecs - ulaw, alaw they also support g729 all of which FreePBX had in play
  • What about the telephone number diversion - Not an issue for outbound testing

Thank you to those who responded constructively.
