I am currently trying to get our wireless landline up and running on Smart Modem 2. We are using a Uniden Dect phone plugged into the phone port on the modem. When logged into the modem it appears that the phone is not recognised as it comes up with "No phone number" under the phone setting. I can't find any area in the settings to configure the landline phone. Are there certain brands of phones that don't work with this modem? There is an "engaged" type dial tone on the phone...

I think the key is you are using a Spark modem with Spark firmware that will be configured to use Spark's voice service rather than having end user facing configurability. Not sure how this is a lack of service on Spark's part. You need to get hardware that is supported by your voice provider, in this case, Hero.
