Hi Guys
Am a new Slingshot customer (sold out by Woosh) and am having trouble with no phone line. Broadband is fine.

Purchased a new Netgear DGN2200 modem and Cisco SP112 ATA. Have spent hours on the phone with the Slingshot tech people getting the correct set up with the ATA last Sunday with no luck getting the phone to work. Slingshot tech thought problem was at their end so raised a fault request with the tier 2 support team.
I got the following email from them "We have just successfully set up your line on our soft phone (X-Lite) and the number registered successfully and we were able to make calls and receive calls. Can you please set this up your end. If you need to set this up on an ATA please access Google to search for information on how to set this up as we cannot support every ATA"

Still no landline so am hoping someone on here can help

Dave

I still can't believe that in 2015 Slingshot expect people to self configure voice hardware - but I guess that's what you get when you pay peanuts for a service.

ajw: Use the settings supplied by slingshot.

How will WxC autoprovisioning help?

Slingshot should be auto provisioning hardware like this so the end user doesn't need to.

Tried the Slingshot setting and still nothing. Do I need to do a factory reset?

Ring slingshot support and ask them for the configure settings for this ATA and set up instructions.

Have you tried setting up a soft-phone (x-lite) for example and seeing if you can connect that way? Then you would know for sure if the issue was within your network or out side.

Cheers

Can this be done as a test or do I need to pay for software?

Completely free to download and use ...
http://www.counterpath.com/x-lite/

It's software for your PC, so you will need a headset preferably, or at least speakers and a microphone.

You can also download the same or very similar software for your smartphone, if that works better for you.

Sorry to ask the obvious, did you try the equipment/settings which were working before you were migrated from woosh to slingshot?
