I will be upgrading to VDSL in the next week and going naked, and I have purchased a Netcomm NF4V VDSL modem/Router which has a reasonable reputation. It has voip capabilities. I intend to continue using my old TP_Link VG3631 as the VOIP router if possible, relocated closer to the usage area, so cordless reception would be better, and also to extend the wifi area.
My question is: How do I get the 2Talk voip data extended through the Netcomm to the TP-Link router? After installing the Netcomm router, I have been able to make out-going calls from the TP-Link through the Netcomm in the past, although incoming calls did not work because I had stupidly diverted incoming calls to my landline, so I changed some settings and now nothing works; incoming or outgoing.
I could utilize spare cat5 pairs to extend the phone lines through to the working area, although this solution is not so elegant.
