Hi all

I'm trying to setup a SPA3102 with PSTN but I'm having a bit of trouble trying to find the line settings in the screenshots here, under the headings "Miscellaneous" and "International control".

I've already had a look at http://www.telepermit.co.nz/TNA102.pdf but I'm still not sure what goes where as the terminology is different.

I've searched around for the last few hours and changed some settings which seemed to be relevant (including this forum).

Could someone post their config?
Your help would be greatly appreciated Sealed

Apart from the line impedence there isn't much else that needs changing from the factory default. I don't have a 3102 at present so I'm unsure what other settings you have changed but I'll list the ones that do need changing.

Both FXS and FXO port impedence should be set to 370+620||310nF which is what we use in NZ (known as the BT standard)

DST Rule should be set to: start=4/1/7/3;end=10/24/7/2;save=-1
Time Zone should be set to : +13:00

The Linksys firmware isn't able to cope with Southern Hemisphere DST times where they start in a later month than they end so it's reversed and uses -1 hour DST between March and October and stays at +13 hours during DST.

FXS gain normally needs to be set to around -3 or so to minimise echo on both input and output and you may need to use the more echo suppression option depending on the handset.

I would leave the SPA to PSTN gain at 0.

Fine tuning audio levels and eliminating echo can take time, unfortunately settings can vary slight betweeen lines and the handset you are using so there are no correct settings that will suit every setup.
