My Surface Pro is connected to a 5Ghz network and the router is about 18 inches away from the device.

 

 

 

Normally very fast - Speed Test on my iPhone is showing 30 Mbps.

 

Speed Test on the SP 4 is showing 4Mbps.

 

 

 

Any ideas why?

OK. If anyone else has this issue this worked.

 

 

 

1) Switch internet access device setting to 5GHz only not auto

 

2) Forget the 5GHz network then re-connect.
