I recently upgraded my iTunes to v11, unable to control the current song by hovering over iTunes on the taskbar. Has anyone else had this problem? I need to go into iTunes to control a given song being played. Please see ss below:

Yes I also have the same problem with this new update (running windows 7). Itunes is now running like a pig; it seems the windows version has been rushed. Also when maximized I can only see half of the scroll bar on the right hand side which is making it difficult to scroll down in playlists etc & yes I have checked my screen resolution

Pure honesty with a dash of class

Bugger! Oh well, I am going back to the earlier version then.. I really used that feature. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't just me.

Works fine for me in windows 7. However there are other bugs in it I noticed, which is very un apple like. Itunes 10 is better. Hate how these companies update their software and cripple and remove the best features, such as coverflow which has disappeared in 11

That's weird because I un-installed the prev version and then installed it. I am in the process of installing 10.7 now.

I did an upgrade. Itunes 10,7 is definitely better than 11 I have found.

Yeah, that's cool aye. At least I know the v11 needs to be sorted out before I install again. I'll stick it out with the older version till then.

Right click on the taskbar, go to Toolbars, and choose iTunes. It puts an iTunes mini-player in the taskbar when iTunes is open and minimised.

Welcome to Tim Cook Era, he who make manufacturing process a higher priority than Steve's priority which is software design. Some of the removed/missing features are the main reason now I'm downgrade back to iTunes 10 and I dont think I'm going to upgrade any further until it is confirm that either those feature or those bugs has been fixed.

I don't mind itunes 11, once you reinstall the sidebar. But can't understand the reasoning for removing coverflow. It is a good feature when you are viewing full screen.

I only use iTunes these days for downloading podcasts though I did find it a real pig to setup just for that..

Windows doesn't have a dock.

On-topic, I notice that there's now an iTunes 11.0.1 - anyone know what it fixes?

Also, I can't replicate the no-controlling from taskbar thing unless I move it to my second screen with a DisplayFusion taskbar (which is to be expected).
