Hi just out of curiosity, and perhaps would be of use if my brother were to upgrade - he's got only 50gig so we need every mb we can on his hdd. He has Vista Home Basic. We're planning to upgrade him to Home Premium ...

now does anyone know if the [disk space consumption (Home Premium upgraded from Home Basic)] = [disk space consumption (Home Premium clean install)] ? or is it A > B but by how much?

heh heh you can guess i'm a wee bit of a perfectionist ...

add 50% of the price of home premium academic, and you have the budget for a 250GB HDD........
