Hi not sure what i have done but the file below was opening as a "streaming video" under media player on my Vista machine.

On XP it still will, how can i get it to stream under Vista which is now requesting me to download the file first??

It streamed alright for me. It started showing picture and sound almost a second after I clicked the link...

It streamed for me as well, BUT I have changed some settings that I want to get back.

I want to know how to change the settings to make it stream?

I installed divx media player which is now uninstalled...............thats it.

Ok, That might have changed the default programs list (may be)

To check in Vista, go to

Control Panel-->Programs-->Default Programs-->Set Your Default Programs

And then choose Windows Media Player under Programs Section and select Choose defaults for this program on the right hand side

Now check whether the extension wmv is selected. Here is a screenshot of mine
