Recently installed Windows 10 on a new PC and reluctantly installed Outlook 2010 as that was what was on the old Win 7 PC.
Plan was to move to Thunderbird, but the Import from Outlook is broken at the moment.

So I installed Outlook 2010, created the account and linked to the pst file.
Great, I test it and all seems fine.
I can send and recieve email.
I come home tonight and go to send an email, and bam!
Nothing gets out, not a thing, no matter who to, or if it has an attachment or not.
I get a " Sending reported error - 0x800CCC13. Cannnot connect to the network. Check your network connection or modem."
Now I have thunderbird installed, and have the same settings installed there and it sends just fine.
I'm connected to Orcon and their mail server (smtp is quite slow right now, but not dead....)
I've used the settings on their web site.
I have tried:
Deleting the account and adding it again.
Rebooting the PC.
Using a utility to check for phantom unsent messages.
Starting Outlook in safe mode.
I have scoured the internet, but can't find a solution.
Now someone out there is going to say - "Something magical"
and solve my problem and I'll look like an idiot, but if it fixes my problem, I really don't care....
Now if anyone can suggest a tool to convert my pst file to something Thunderbird can import I'll be just as happy.
