Hi there

I'm using Windows 10 on a HP laptop.

I notice sometimes when I scroll a webpage, or a document (PDF, Word), it will zoom out. And before I did something and it made the icons on my desktop smaller. I changed it back to medium size, but that made the order I had them in go out of place. So I hold an icon and move it back, but while doing that all icons became small again.

I don't know if this can be disabled. It must be that I'm holding something down on the touch-pad. But I'm scrolling and the text will zoom out at times -- so whatever I'm holding down I need to in order to scroll.

Any help much appreciated.

Stevie

A touchpad?

Get your fingers off it :) There are smart touch zones. 2 + 3 fingers at once do different things (click areas too) Likewise there is a scroll area down the right side

Control panel, mouse properties. You will find a bunch of driver tabs where you can turn smart areas on/off and customize.

Traditionally ctrl-mouse scroll is increase/decrease icons on desktop when selected. Likewise within browser = zoom.

Multi function click/finger areas are hopeless. Give me back my separate buttons any day! accidently touch an area when scrolling = zoom and or click/freeze zoom. PITA

Increase the threshold for double touch/click. When you touch it twice it thinks you are on the same action, i.e. Two finger pinch action.
