Any other Windows 10 users having issues with the Photo App?

My one either will close immediately after opening or will crash shortly after usually  with in a minute. No error message nothing *poof* gone.  I have tried all sorts to fix it.
I am going to try to remove the App and reinstall to see if it resolves the issue. It is really annoying

reinstalling the Photos App made no difference what so ever, it still crashes. The App is not fit for purpose in my view and situation.

After wasting yet another evening on this I am wondering if a roll back to 8.1 your using Trade me to get rid of my Windows based kit is the solution

All fully updated and the OS is fully patched

Irfan View looks like a refugee from Windows 95

No problems here with the photo app. But I use Picasa by choice!

I like Picasa but its IU is messy, I like the no fuss look of the native Windows viewer but its a POS

I had a similar problem with some apps crashing when not running full screen.

Try running it full screen and see if there is a difference.

You can also try deleting all app cache data from here:

C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Photos_XXXXXXXXXXXXXX\LocalCache\

Thanks for that

No problems at all with the Win 10 Photo Viewer and I use it several times per day on average.  You mentioned that you're getting messages about the Graphics Adaptor not responding so I would be looking in that direction.  Maybe the driver for your Graphics Card has problems, or maybe the Graphics Card itself.

We have 5 PCs here running Windows 10 and not one of them had any problems with the Photo Viewer.

Seems a conflict between the video driver and this app. If you have latest ATI Graphics Drivers maybe consider rolling back to a prior version.

The AMD site confirmed that I had the latest drivers installed. I decided to download and install the latest Beta drivers etc. Installed and the  Photo App has been running stable  for about 2 hours so fingers crossed
