I moved continents. Before I did that, I put all my important data onto USB disks, three of them each the same, and packed them each in different boxes.
Yeah, nah. I used Windows 7 x64, GPT format, robocopy. Nothing unusual. After that, I reformated the PCs and sold off all the excessive gear, so I only have these three disks, now. When I got here, I bought a new laptop, plugged n the disks and I now have 'GPT Protective Partition' as the partition type and I am unable to do anything. All options are greyed out in Windows and Linux reports a corrupted GPT partition.
How do I get to access the data on each disk? I figured this was a simple process and one I took pains to make sure everything would be simple.
For reference, these disks are over 2TB, so I cannot follow the recommended process of convert to MBR....
Any help appreciated...
