I recently discovered I have the trojandownloader.xs abebot virus and it just wont go away, I have tried adaware spyware remover, xoftspy and plenty of things but it keeps coming back. I have done a bit of research about it and its a backdoor trojan and recreates itself. Most other websites get you to download all this different software that just does not work :( Kaspersky online virus scanner has picked it up but will not delete it.
Could somebody please explain the procedure to removing this nasty trojan.
It is on a brand new computer that I have barely had for a week :(

I have my hijackthis log maybe this may help?
THANK YOU

Burberry:Could somebody please explain the procedure to removing this nasty trojan.
It is on a brand new computer that I have barely had for a week :(

Just shows why I would install security measures before my first Internet connection after an install.

This seems like a very good thread about removing it...

Those two lines look a little suspect to me.

I've found that SuperAntiSpyware Free edition works great.
Also as stated ealier, make sure it's up-to-date and then boot into Safe Mode and run a scan.

I had a tough spyware on a machine the other day and used ComboFix to remove it.

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.
