I'm trying to import a 730MB PST file into Outlook 2007.  It was created from a 2007 install on another PC.  I'm importing the entire mailbox into a separate PST within my own session.  When I import the file, I get about 7MB of data showing up.  The file itself is then overwritten and becomes 7MB.  Lucky I have it backed up but does this sound like a corrupt file? There should be several years worth of data in the mailbox but all I'm seeing is the Inbox with no data in it, some contacts, some drafts...no sent items or anything.  When I created the PST I exported the entire mailbox.....strange.

any suggestions?

So what happens when you just open the PST in Outlook (File->Open->Outlook Data File)?  Are all the items in there?  Then I'd just copy them over manually.

Luckily since office 2000 miscrosoft has installed a .pst repair tool with every install of outlook! Its just that not many people know its there, i use it quite often (in fact on friday it was cruical). I would run this repair tool it can't hurt and most likely will fix your problem

Go here: http://www.z-a-recovery.com/scanpst.htm for instructions!

Good luck
