My laptop HD has 2 partitions. I want to format the HD and do a fresh install of Windows (XP). Do I need to un-partition the drive first before formatting? I dont want to keep 2 partitions in the future.
Thanks.

Just boot from the XP disc. After loading files, the partitions will appear in a list, with the option to delete before you format.
