My current subscription to McAfee SecurityCentre expires in a few weeks I am wondering what to replace it with.

Is Microsoft Windows Live OneCare V2 any good? Anyone have any good/bad experiences?

Plus, whats the period the licence is for (assuming it has one)?

I'd like a easy to use program, due to my limited knowledge, that runs & updates in the background without slowing anything down. Have had no complaints about McAfee but you never know if the grass is greener and all that ...

Any help appreciated, many thanks in advance.

First off - Microsoft Windows Live OneCare is being phased out and replaced by a free antivirus solution later this year.

So the question is really what are you using it for? If only for antivirus and antispyware I would replace with Avast (free) and Microsoft Windows Defender (free). If you use any of the other features (backup, etc) then I would still replace with the other software and find tools for those specific tasks.
