The infamous 80073712 error makes its return to this forum on windows 7.

The usual fix's do not apply, windows 7 no longer uses a pending.xml in its update process.

Sfc /scannow does not work

deleting the reg key ending in /dirtystore or /storedirty does not exist anymore.

Googling for this is a nightmare, it returns vista sites as windows 7 links, because there is a windows 7 link on the page somewhere. If someone can help me out i'd appreciate it.

Was thinking of uninstalling windows update agent and installer and reinstalling them, if this might be a winner, ideas on whereabouts of download for Windows 7 7100 x86?

Cheers all,

Min

Ah Microsoft? http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx

Edit; Sorry miss read your post. How about running the Windows 7 repair? Don't think their would be a agent reinstaller yet as the OS is only in RC stage.
