I carefully selected the forum before posting, hopefully I am using the right one.

I am desperately trying to stop Skype from recognising numbers as phone numbers in web pages!

I have tried Googling the answer but the results do not help me, have tried checking the settings and tried using the Skype forum which was like a maze that send me around in circles.

Does anyone know how to turn this off? It is turning my work system order numbers into Canadian phone numbers! I am very close to uninstalling Skype altogether!

Open the Internet Explorer Add-In page and disable the Skype Add-In. You will find this in Tools | Manage Add-ons.

I just uninstall the add-in altogether. No need for it, it's bloatware and I've seen it crashing some IE pages.

Thank you sooo much - really appreciate that! I never figured it would be in the IE settings and have been weeding through the Skype settings!
