We have just moved and need to connect to an already exsisting wireless in the house we are in but cant.

We have an Acer Aspire 1800 with Vista Home Premium

I am guessing that the wireless has security on it (as all wireless connections should). You need to find out what settings have been used so that you can provide them to the connection in Vista.

By the way a bit more detail on what you have tried and what you know about the existing wireless would help.
