Hi guys im kind of worrying here as I unistalled win7 32 bit so I could install both winxp 64bit and win7 64bit however despite having the right hardware I cant get the computer to install the system so I suspect must be the bios problem but i have never flush a bios from dos..:(

1- when i tried to install windowsxp it saids that cant copy some files to drive?? and asks if continue system
installation but may not finish installing or abort installation.

2- when installing win7 a message comes along saying that could not copy some system files to drive?

3- I tried three different hard drives ide and sata and no luck?

4- I also notice that in the past when I put a installation DVD in the setup program boot soon after bios flash screen past however now when I put the installation DVD it takes a long time to come up with the click to start from cd or dvd?

5- despite the issues i just mentioned I manage to install the latest ubuntu in each of the hard drives without issues.??? but i dont want linux i want windows...:(
thank you guys for reading the post and I hope you got some Ideas that could help me.

thanks in advance guys,

Andy

I have seen that message with a bad Optical Drive.

Have you got another DVD drive you can try?

I've seen that message a lot and 90% of the time it is actually bad RAM.
The other 10% it was a faulty disc or optical drive.

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.
