Hey y'all.

I'm currently working on automating Win7 installs via Sysprep and am using Zenworks 11 to push out apps after OS installation.

Is there anyone else out there who uses Zenworks that can shed a little bit of light on why the ZCM11 client won't always install my machine specific apps every time?

I've so far got two hardware types included into my .wim but I need to push out their fn Key apps & bluetooth drivers etc that can't be captured in the standard image.  If I apply the apps one-by-one to the workstation groups they install fine - if I leave all the apps applied to the group it's really hit and miss, even if I use app dependancies.

Thoughts, anyone?

Oh well, since no-one had any brilliant ideas I solved it myself.

Wrote a cmd file script to install each application in silent install mode, and do them in the order that I want.

ie

start /wait c:\toshiba\tvap\tinstallwb.exe -s
start /wait c:\toshiba\webcam\tinstallwb.exe -s
etc etc etc

Then I stick all the apps that I want to install as one bundle into a network accessible location and tell Zenworks to copy the entire directory & files down to somewhere on C: (c:\toshiba in this example) and launch my cmd file to commence installation.  My cmd file has a shutdown -r at the end to give it the reboot the apps need, so all in all it works nicely.

The other upside is that I can add extra apps to it if I need to without having to touch the Zenworks bundle.
