Hmm. Could be hard to solve :)

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

OOOHHHH HYPERFIBRE!

Sorry everyone..Should have been deleted...But what's going on is I am trying to login to my Windows desktop which is using tightvnc server 2.0.2 from my laptop which is running Linux Mint 9 with xtightvnc viewer. I have the port 5800 and 5900 open on my router and the server is configured to allow connection. I have the ip address and a password set. When I go to login from my linux machine i get a message that tells me Authentication failed.

I really wanted to know if anyone has ever successfully configured vnc for cross platforms and if i need to open any other ports. Or should I just use another way of remote
