I am looking at buying a macbook. After research Ive come down to these options.

http://cgi.ebay.com/APPLE-13-BLACK-MACBOOK-2-4GHz-4GB-500GB-HD-APPLECARE_W0QQitemZ130337627404QQcmdZViewItemQQptZApple_Laptops?hash=item1e58ba5d0c#ht_25265wt_872

Good specs and almost 2 year warranty, however it does have the cosmetic damage.

Same specs, cheaper, and better cosmetically, only thing is it is lacking a warranty excluding the 30 day one the seller provides with the option of this squaretrade.com 1 year one, not sure about that one though? Also good battery life

Warranty but 250Gb less HD

Then finally i have a computer technician friend who is selling his old one, this one is the most expensive, 2.4GHz, 4GB RAM, 320Gb HD 132", and a 3 month warranty, the fact that i know for a fact that it has had a good history is the only bonus it has over the others.

What do you think about the options, pros cons etc and your opinion ?

Cheers

Have you check the reburbish Mac at Apple Online Store? Sometimes they have great deal too.

I think you better off with this brand new macbook (799 pounds)

1. i will never buy 2nd hand laptop

2. new macbook (2.26ghz & nvidia geforce) comes with graphic card which is way better than the 2.4ghz penryn & intel gma x3100

3. new macbook can have battery lasted up to 7hours. the macbook version you listed here, with NEW battery lasted only maximum of 3-3.5 hrs. generally 2nd hand macbook lasted less than 3 hours (depends on how many cycle the battery has done). Remember, you may need to buy new battery which will cost you ?97 pounds later.

good luck
