Suddenly Adobe InDesign 2.0 is not starting anymore. It used to run ok on my wife's Mac OS X 10.4.11 but for some reason it stopped. Tried reinstalling, but same error.

Can anyone recommend a good replacement for this software so that she can do some small pages quickly?

Yes, I know it's an old version, but never had the need for an update - and it's used just a little to justify buying a new version with its prices...

You might have some luck looking in the console to determine the actual cause. One thing you could try is dumping the preferences file for InDesign. (Same can sometimes be had by adding in a new user and re-installing).

Any OS X updates installed prior to it stopping working (I don't imagine that;s the issue - I suspect more a corrupted plist file)

Removed the preferences before reinstalling. Installed the new InDesign C4 Demo today, it's working fine - the wife didn't like the Scribus UI...

I have heard through the grape vine that Adobe CS5 arrives in New Zealand around a month after the launch in the United States - from what I have heard it translates into better support for Snow Leopard and so on.
