Forgive me, never used a MAC, but I'd like to, my query may appear silly.

Can a MAC Mini be connected to a laptop, to use the laptops screen easy enough?
And keyboard/trackpad (although I doubt that)

MAC Mini seems a cheaper although not cheap way to try it?

If the laptop supports running as just a monitor, then yes. But I've never seen a laptop do that.

Might be easier to just borrow a monitor and get a USB keyboard/mouse combo.

Yep, will do, I have a spare 22 LCD screen, would have been nice to "duo" the laptop. Tks for the reply

Yes, no problem. 10.4 and later have a built in VNC server for remote video, keyboard & mouse/trackpad use.
