When I go to the Met Service page for Wellington all I see is a gradated blue background, instead of the weather. Is it me, or is Metservice half down?

Hmmm. It started working for me just now, even though I did hard reload earlier. Thanks all.
I clicked your link and got a graduated blue screen for about 3-4secs before the page loaded. But we do have poor bandwidth here in the office.
I found, during the weekend, that some regions such as Greymouth and Hokitika that I am sure used to have current temps were only showing Min / Max daily temps.
Odd.
I think they've changed something that means it can render really slowly, even on modern PCs. It's a huge page with all kinds of rubbish on it, if they made a more compact page with less info maybe it would work better / faster.
I worked out what the problem was.
When I open browser tabs I tend to click a bookmark, hit "control T" to open another tab, then open 3 - 5 tabs at once, then I come back to view them. The met service weather page will only open if you have the tab in focus. Maybe that's good to help reduce the load of generating their GIANT page with information no-one reads, but it's not very user friendly for power users.
All good here if slow. The issue I have is the page seems to be cashed somewhere and often loads the
old page on my permanent tab even when I refresh it. I then have to call up the site from my favourites.
PS using Safari on an iPad.
