I only have this tiny 4" device to watch movies and browse the web on. It'd be awesome to have the Acer Iconia for when I get bored while the gf is watching TV (which is frequently). I also think it could be handy to use at work for taking notes!
All comments are my own opinion, and not that of my employer unless explicitly stated.
I've just released Apps for my online community for both Android & Apple - so something for testing/looking at using an Android system would be just ace :)
A tablet would be most handy... It's Win/Win/Win really:
Win #1: A larger screen than my Samsung Galaxy S, so I could browse the interwebbytubes and read eBooks easier...
Win #2: Android OS which apart from being awesome is more or less the same as the Galaxy S, so the learning curve is flattened... and my little homebrewed apps are likely to work on it too!
Win #3: Smaller/Lighter than the laptop, so it would make it more convenient to roam about with...
I'm about to reach the age of 70 without tablets from my doctor. So it would be splendid to at least have one tablet, and an Acer Iconia A500 would fit the bill nicely.
I would like very much to own an Acer Iconia. We travel to Uk and Europe quite a bit to see our children and this little machine seems to do everything I could possibly want. I am no geek (unfortunately) but I love new technology. Here's hoping.
I am not a fan of apple products and this Acer tablet just looks so cool Android really is a great OS I use my Samsung I550 all the time looking forward to Android 2.2 upgrade when telecom finally send it
We presently have a HP110 netbook. It is okay for web browsing and playing media but not a lot more.
We are looking at buying a touch screen tablet for the family. I'd like to get Mr4 (my son) using something educational rather than him sitting watching Thomas the bloody tank engine for hours. There are apparently some very good early childhood learning apps in the app store. We'd be bound to find oodles of other uses for it too.
Don't take life too seriously. Remember, no one gets out alive.
My current tablet is still in the shop, or is it the one pictured in the first post of this thread. i.e. I dont have one, they are a wee bit expensive for me. My current laptop is 3yrs old. Just hope it keeps going. Cannot say ipad's appeal to me, I dislike itunes. Well here is hoping for a new tablet.
I currently have an IDEOS U8150. So as you can imagine it's slow and cumbersome. But i love Android :D
I'm a student, so a tablet would be very beneficial to me as i can carry it around campus in my backpack and can study wherever I please (compsci major, so most of what i do needs internet access)
