People moaning about slow couriers, top this:

Their website calls the Overnight service a "target"

"CourierPost has an overnight delivery target across town and between major towns and cities. For CourierPost Economy and rural deliveries please allow up to three working days."

I do not know who delivers Australia Post items here in NZ, but I have one that has been in Auckland now doing nothing since Tuesday last week at 0709 hrs!
Australia Post is IMHO a very lethargic organisation, exhibiting the worst aspects of both a government bureaucracy and a private-sector monopoly. I have several family members living there and others in the UK, France and the USA and it's noticeable that letters and parcels to and from Australia take longer to arrive. [OK, except France in July & August, nothing moves there then!]
I have a package that's "Cleared and awaiting international departure |SYDNEY NSW | Date & time Thu 7 May • 1:28am"
I know there's restricted flights a.t.m., but you'd think there might be one in four days from Sydney to Auckland. Sigh

I've got one that was received by Australia Post on 21st April, and is still at "Cleared and awaiting international departure" (in Sydney) since 24th April. Expected delivery date was 1st May, lodged an enquiry on 5th May, haven't heard anything. You might be waiting a while...

Who do you reckon the 'last mile carrier' is? Because that's ruthless. Probably just sitting in someones office.

Packages from Auckland supplier - who knows, the #'s they give are never entered :D

My item that was at Christchurch airport is now showing as being with the courier in Wellington as of 6:20am this morning.
When I looked first thing this morning it was indicating "item is with courier, expect delivery today; estimated delivery date 12 May". Now it is showing "item is with courier, expect delivery today; estimated delivery date 13 May".
Surely the item wouldn't sit in the courier's van for two days so I'm assuming the estimated delivery date is based on some sort of algorithm that has gone wonky. It will be interesting to see if it turns up today.

NZ Post delivery most, if not all, overseas state-owned postal company mail.

ebay just refunded an order from mid march.
I contacted the seller saying hey can you chase up delivery for me - they put in a query to ebay, and I got a refund.
To be clear - I did not ask the seller for a refund or threaten anything, I just asked if they could log a query with their shipping as it had been ~6 weeks, and the only option ebay gave me was to contact the seller.
Didn't actually want a refund, wanted the goods, and will reorder when life returns to a level of normality in the us, but hey in the scheme of things I have my money back with no hassle.
Items are starting to flow thru. Only two to go. The Miter 10 one has been shown in transit for a couple of days and the Brother toner card I ordered from PBTech back on March 20 still showing "Awaiting Goods" Will give that one another week and ask what's happened to it.

OK, but surely a target has to be achievable most of the time. Reality is their between major towns and cities average is probably closer to the economy spec.
Mike
I'm not trying to defend them, but everything we send out (and we send a lot) gets delivered same day or overnight, two working days if rural. And that's courierpost/fastway/nzcouriers/others
Here's one I'm still waiting on:
