neb: That particular issue is common across many European cities, once the snow (if there is any) starts to melt... ugh. In Paris it's more the human waste that's obvious, whereas NY has a sort of permanent baked-in rotten organic matter miasma... and giant rats... Anyway, how about them flower gardens with nicely scented roses and birds chirping in the trees?

You've probably never been to the station toilet in Bangkok or to the back of the station. I'm tough, but that was too much even for me.

My suitcase zip breaking mid trip. To be fair it's seen 2-4 flights per month for nearly five years so I've had my money's worth. But not the most exciting thing to buy again.

But I think I'll forgo a design that uses the zip to hold the two halves together.

I had one of those, never again. They are convenient as you can open them up once you arrive at your destination and have really good access to everything. However, as you've discovered there is a lot of strain on the zip and once they go its in the bin. I also avoid the case with 4 wheels as they always get broken by over zealous bagage handlers. I stick to two wheeled cases now, not as convenient to push/pull but way sturdier.

When its 6am and you pull into the McDonalds drive through for a basic McMuffin breakfast. There's only 1 car in front of you but they seem to order the entire menu with everything customised so it takes 20mins for their order to come.

Am I annoyed at the customer? Not at all, they're entitled to order what ever they like. But why did the staff not ask them to park to the side so other customers could be served their basic menu item while their custom order was being prepared?

Funny, we are the total opposite, have just replaced the 2 wheelers with 4. I'd gladly swap the life span for the convenience.

Yeah I like the four wheels. Again, niche use, I'm away seven weeks out of eight, so four nights a week it's being wheeled in and out of motels/hotels and airports. I like being able to have it roll off in front of me, IE, give it a push then grab something out of my pocket.

I have the receipt and don't mind it being repaired. How long is the question. So I'll probably buy another one and keep the old/repaired one as a spare.

Wow, that's huge travel. I certainly don't envy you that. I bet you have it down to fine art.

How hard can this be?

Reply to an email for a Vodafone fault but they’ve sent it from an invalid email address so my email bounces.
I resend the email which includes screenshots and references to a previous ticket
They then ask for screenshots of the error message when my fault clearly doesn’t contain an error message as such.

I mean, here’s a screenshot. Thanks for that can we have a screenshot?

Another example: fault logged for audio issues with multiple examples provided. Answer back is that they couldn’t see those calls being disconnected.

Where’s my Panadol.

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.

Lots of years ago I used to go to a club in London where a woman did the same thing.

Pop-up vendors and food trucks and the ilk who don't make clear where they are going to be next, and when you ask, tell you to check insta, where they show conflicting information. Why make it so hard to find you? I want to buy your food!

I remember a club/cocktail bar that we used to go to in London in the 90's that had a nice person (sometimes a man, sometimes a woman) offering not just towels for the washed hands, but cologne for the gentleman.

I used to get a bit pissed up and virtually bathe in the stuff. Magnificent.

A few years ago I got off the plane, went to the luggage carousel, hoisted my bag onto the floor, oriented it correctly, then grabbed it by the handle only for it to pop right off.

Fortunately this was in Auckland on the return trip so it was only a brief inconvenience!
