Capers in a tall, narrow jar from which they are difficult to extract.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

I have a special capers spoon in the drawer for dealing with this.

One of those plastic takeaway spoons that come with KFC.

Y'know, I often think I'm full of smart ideas (other people think I'm full of something else) but I didn't think if that. Capital idea. Which is good because I don't like KFC.

I suggested that as we move everything into plastic containers in the pantry, makes them easier to find, easier to get stuff, you know when your are running out,  and most importantly gives a good reason to

have a label machine.

When your not hungry on your break at work then you are 10 minutes later.
When your thirsty at work but an email went around saying the tap water is contaminated.

Capers are delicious. I have a set of cuttlery used when Bella was a toddler, fork is perfect size to get capers and drain those when getting out of the tall jars.

Still annoying that they come in the tall jars.

If there were two brands of Caper on the supermarket shelf, one in the annoying tall jar, and another in a short squat jar (but same volume and similar price), I'd buy the short squat every time.

correction to my post, I just checked our pantry and the Capers are in what looks like some kind of sealing jar similar to what my mother did preserves in. They have been decanted into it and suitably labelled. The jar has about a 10cm opening.

Might have mentioned this before (and its not a small thing its a biggy) - everything shrinking. Cadburys 250g to 220g to 200g. Pasta sauce 575g to 500g, packets of fish we buy cos proper stuff is so expensive, etc, etc. Also New World mince pies that went from $6.99 to $7.49 to $9.49 in a month or two, how much is inflation exactly ?

Admittedly this might be because I'm cheap. No, that can't be it.......
