Handsomedan:
Ordering something from a store that is 20min drive away and opting to pay for the delivery fee as I'm working.
Receive an email 3 days after ordering to confirm the order - OK, they are in the middle of a 60% off summer sale. I can take that delay.
Receive an email the following day after that to tell me that my item has shipped.
Courier delays we can understand to some degree but a store needs to get things out the door asap. I order pet food from Akld and that store turns an order into a courier package in the same afternoon = 👍👍
In comparison, I just got this email from gearstore about an order:
While we do experience occasional delays in dispatch and delivery, we're actually pretty speedy most of the time. After dispatch, around 92% of our orders zoom out the door within 5 days. In the South Island 79% of those arrive in 2 days. And for the North Island 85% of orders make it in 5 days.
Well, for starters, dispatch IS the zooming out the door part but what is the store doing for up to 5 days before that?
