I've used youshop for around 20 packages with no previous problems, but I've finally struck a problem: they lost a package. Track and trace puts my package arriving 8 days ago, I reported the problem after 4 days, they still haven't found it. I guess I'll have to make a claim for compensation.

I ordered something on sale, which will cost me US$40 more because of youshop's mistake. Hopefully the vendor will replace the item a the sale price.

I had something delivered into Youshop on the 15th (from Amazon).

It still wan't in my Youshop account on the 21st.

On the 22nd, I sent the email, tried to track the package. 5 minutes later I got an email saying my package had just arrived at Youshop.

Not sure what they are doing there, but speed and efficiency does not seem high up their priority list.

A stunning display of efficiency here...

On the 22nd NZPost asked for tracking information I'd already given them, plus the vendor invoice, in PDF format. I sent it back within an hour. It's the 27th today and I called to see what was up. Nothing had happened as the person the case was assigned to hadn't even looked at my email reply.

Whoever answered the phone has sent an alert to the case manager, so hopefully they'll do something about it now.

Was that something awaiting for delivery into Youshop, or something that you were expecting to arrive on our shores ?

I was expecting something to arrive here on the 26th Sept, but there is a banner on Youshop that deliveries have been affected by the pipeline issue.

My tracking number doesn't show any parcel in transit - only that it is "On its Way".

It was delivered to the YouShop warehouse but was never checked into my account. It's been a couple of weeks, mostly because NZ based staff didn't bother to ask the warehouse to look for the package. They asked them late last week so we should get an answer in the next day or two.

I assume they've lost it.

I just got  pair of sports shoes sent to youshop and on top of the fact they took 3 days to email me once they arrived, they have quoted me $50! To send them here!

Seems a bit on the high side. They still haven't told me anything about the package of mine they've probably lost.

Yep, Youshop is really expensive now.

I use them for Jeans - to get them in the size I need (Levi's 501s usually) and in a colour other than bog-standard (which seems all NZ stores carry), I find I have to use Amazon, and they will not ship Levi's internationally. If I buy two pairs, and a T-Shirt or belt, it works out cheaper even with the YouShop tax.

If I'm reading that correctly, they repacked the parcel and actually increased it's dimensions?

That's not acceptable.

Volumetric weight went down and thats what they charge by isn't it?

$50 isn't to bad for shoes.  As an example. Eastbay charge $45 US to ship a pair of shoes to NZ from the US which is $62/65NZD so cheaper than some places ship direct.  If you got free ground shipping to the Youshop Warehouse, still should be saving a little.

I haven't had any need to use YouShop in a while, but had a parcel arrive yesterday and added to my account on the same day.

I went with slower postage to New Zealand to save a few dollars

I've found the slower postage to be as good as when they only had one type of postage. I'm not sure if the 'faster' postage is actually any faster. The delay seems to be in them getting out of their warehouse and onto a plane. The time for the plane to come here and get delivered to you from the airport is the same.

From my experience with youshop it often takes 3-5 days for an item that has been delivered in the US to be checked in. Once its on its way delivery is fast and efficient (but far from cheap). I only use youshop when I absolutely can't get any supplier to send the item I want direct.

It's not meant to be cheap, but to allow you to buy stuff from the US

Note to self, don't use Youshop for shoes anymore. It's been a while but the last time I got shoes it was only $32, $50 is a joke.
