sen8or:
Am about to test youshop and the new policy.
Have had to send my radar unit back to the US as its faulty. If they send a replacement or repair, they will only send to a US address so have used youshop. Custom's website says no GST is chargeable on repair / warranty replacements provided proof is provided (which I have kept copies of all things) but I wonder what youshops policy is
Got my email from Youshop yesterday they had received the radar unit at the warehouse and it was prompting me to enter in parcel value etc. I just keyed in $1 as the value and then uploaded my return details (export doc, warranty return form) and paid the shipping and GST on the $1. It all went through and rec'd confirmation this morning that goods have been posted.
Really not sure if anyone at Youshop checked the details of the package or if simply the fact I had entered in a $1 value and paid the shipping charges, the system simply prompted the release of the package. Either way, I'm happy enough.
