Ordered small item from Computer Lounge Auckland on Friday afternoon.  Apparently 'with courier for delivery' now (CourierPost).  Rotorua

I definitely had one of the packages in a container that hadn't even been looked at.

It was listed as delivered by Aramex on 5th May but being rural I knew that just meant that they had handed it to Courier Post. I contacted Aramex after a week and they confirmed that it had indeed been handed over on the 5th.

Last week they finally changed the delivered notice to now say that it had been sent to CourierPost and included their tracking number. A really good change to the tracker at least.

Unfortunately NZ Post just said that the label hadn't been scanned yet. I checked again on Saturday and it had finally shown up.

Hopefully I'll see it over the next couple of days.

Wakrak:

Waiting on some UK Ebay items as well. Found a good deal on some Arctic P12s. Was free shipping though so can't complain too much. Would've been nice if it came with tracking. Ordered on the 1st of May, so hopefully here by the end of the month.

Based on what I am experiencing and hearing, I'd say a one month delivery time from the UK is very optimistic.

So many delays, I have 4 packages waiting... all in Auckland and all just sitting waiting for the large delay. Last Monday a ordered something from Hong Kong it was shipped via DHL and on Thursday I had it in hand. however Aust to NZ is at 2 months, NZ to NZ is at 2-3 weeks.

All I can imagine is one guy at courier post laying on the floor in fetal position crying next his scanner and an 8 story pile of packages :)

I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.

AK72: For international different tracking sites you can get different results, either more detailed or sometimes updated quicker - 17track.net can have a bit more detail to perhaps understand your tracking progress more.

I've been using http://parcelsapp.com/en to track my parcels. It seems to query a range of different services and collates all their data into one report. E.g. it shows both USPS and NZ Post tracking data for USPS packages bound for NZ. Interestingly some tracking steps appear on both however there are certain activities that only USPS or NZ Post will show so having a combinded report can give more insight.

Perhaps our online spending and import gst/duties collection may save the country financially - trying to be positive here.

Ordered a thing from Florida on the 11th (via DHL) and it arrived today (the 18th). So for international stuff it looks like DHL is the way to go (I think they have their own delivery network/planes/etc)

My package has disappeared and speeking with a NZPost tracking person they said a lot of stuff has been shipped from AKL to CHC as the CHC sorting house has more capacity.

But it does appear that the whole NZPost / CourierPost tracking system has barfed.

That is a really good tip - I've used 17track & aftership and they are a bit hit and miss. This gives much better info.

Thank you, I'll use that from now on.
Funnily enough when I checked my parcels progress using the link it had finally progressed a step since 6 days of nothing.
