BarTender:

My package has disappeared and speeking with a NZPost tracking person they said a lot of stuff has been shipped from AKL to CHC as the CHC sorting house has more capacity.

oh, joy. 🙄

I asked nz post to confirm that they have my parcel somewhere within their network because I'm afraid of that happening .. I'm yet to receive a reply to that question.

I do see they updated my tracking with the "delayed" status on saturday, that says they'll try to deliver it in the next 5 working days.

Amusingly, despite having status notifications turned on, the delayed status didn't trigger a notification to me

Exactly the same for me - waiting on a shipment picked up on the 7th. Also didn't get an email update.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

First in last out. I've had some stuff arrive quick other taking ages. Doesn't seem like first in first out is working.

I ordered something with a major clothing retailer at the beginning of the month - assumed it'd come from NZ or AUS - nope, Amsterdam! It's now with Aramex so a but uncertain how this is going to go..

LOL.... wife ordered from MightyApe about a week ago. They said it'd be here last Friday - nope.

She just checked tracking, and its showing as "Unable to deliver, please contact us". Its coming via CP/NZpost who delivered us stuff yesterday.

Funny part is, we'd have to pickup from depot in Albany - we live exactly 7km (10 min drive) from Mightyape.

Obviously we're going back to MightyApe and getting them to get it re-delivered.

This is the 2nd delivery thats been sent to a depot for us to pickup - 2 different courier companies.

Neither have even left "call to collect" cards in the letter box - only find out whats going on by chasing it ourselves.

Albany? thought their pickup point was in Millwater?

As I had come here wanting to hear about other's experiences with tracking parcels I am sharing my parcel's progress. This one is coming from Sydney. I'm happy with today's progress, from here will be interesting how long it takes until delivery. I have no idea whether international parcels may have some priority or it is last in first out, we'll see. I wonder if the back up from level 4 is still buried and in a state, that is why they are taking so long.

I also have a package coming from Aliexpress (standard shipping): Accepted by carrier on the 11th of May, 16th May Airline departure from original country, 18 May Uplifted from transshipment hub. Due 22-29 May

** Update - I woke up this morning and it now says with courier for delivery.

Providing it's not an error, that is 7+ days faster than I was expecting reading some of the posts on here.

(mine was the previous post with the screenshot)

Correct but no pickups available from Millwater due to COVID, so everything has to be couriered.

I'd have to pick up from the couriers depot in Albany (if they even allow that)

With Level 2, I'm still WFH, so have been having work send a few required items. standard shipping but each day it's at my door by 6am the next day.

I've been pretty impressed with that :)

Good luck to everyone waiting for their parcels.
