I just popped out to grab a bite to eat back at my desk (sad, I know) and realised something else that most people seem fine with but that annoys me... perfectly able-bodied people who stop walking when they get on an escalator.

I am sure there are safety signs advising against that, it is recommend that you stand on the escalator not walk

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I am ok with that when they stand to the left like you are supposed to. The wide-bodied ones and those that center themselves are the problem.

Worse are those that stop to stare and look around at the end of an escalator/travelator. Get out of the way idiots. Best when they are infront of a trolly and it goes bash into them and the person behind it can do nothing to stop it.

Geektastic:

This really isn't small but...why are people like this not properly dealt with by our courts?

They *are* dealt with properly... the law is 100% right and must be obeyed, even if it means letting a drunk-driver go free to create further mayhem.

What possible safety hazard could walking up an escalator introduce?

I have seen several accidents of folks falling while walking on escalators.

I've seen people trip on stairs. And on flat pavement.

Or why someone with 55 jail terms from a 15-page rap sheet isn't just locked up for good.

Somewhere off shore so my taxes don't need to pay to keep them.

'Boat people' willing to give up everything to come to this country.

Seems a fair swap to me.

Oranges. I love a good orange, but if i have to cut it up, or peel the skin off, covering my hands in citric acid, then i can't be bothered.

There were 360 replies so far to the topic. This is the 361-st one. Another 4 and we can make an assumption that if those little annoying things are not happening all at once (as they probably not) then one may come to a conclusion that in this world something is bothering someone every day all year round. :-)
