Latest episode of Dune the telly series on Neon.
I really should have waited until they all drpped so I could binge it.
A week is a long time between very involved and quite convoluted storylines.
Still pretty good though

Long time lurker of this thread, worth it for the recommendations.
Just finished Yellowstone, good show that.
Up to date with Landman, another good Taylor Sheridan show.
Finished Lioness, enjoyed that also.
Finished the NZ drama After the Party, bloody good for a kiwi show.
Up to date with Bad Sisters, not to bad.
Finished The Diplomat, dang that was a good watch.
Finished Sweetpea, humorous British show.
Currently watching Somebody Somewhere, what a dag, light hearted humour.

Just watched Wayne s1e1.
Really enjoyed it, it has some violent scenes.
About a boy whose mother ran away with another guy when he was five, he’s teenager now, his Dad has cancer.
He has an attraction to a girl, whose Father and brothers are violent.
I’ll leave it at that as don’t want to ruin it, but have just watched first episode.
Think it was a YouTube original, which I don’t think are behind a pay wall anymore.

Watch 1883 and 1923 as well, which are the backstories to Yellowstone. I think S2 of 1923 is due out soon.
Yes, good additions to Yellowstone universe aren't they.

What if..... Season 3
Only 7 episodes. Disappointing to say the least.
I liked the first episode but the rest were a bit meh. The overarching Watcher theme seemed too forced and didn't make much sense, just a lot of overpowered characters fighting each other and then levelling up and fighting again, rinse and repeat.

You have got me excited about some of those shows now. We have the last two Yellowstone episodes to watch, and will do Landman after that now that I know it is a Taylor Sheridon show. I saw a reference to a Beth and Rip spin off, which sounds very promising. The prequal shows were good, especially 1923. It's production values were the equal of a super high budget epic movie with all of the African scenes. I _really_ loved that show.
I finally got around to finishing the latest season of Doctor Who on Disney+. I've been a long-time Who fan, standing firm even when the writing really failed to hit the mark over past seasons. While I haven't enjoyed much of the last few seasons (in particular, Jodie Whittaker got a raw deal with the poor quality of stories IMO), I was interested to see what they would do with Russell T Davies coming back as showrunner and Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor. I really enjoyed the three specials (with David Tennant making a surprise return to the TARDIS), and the introduction of the new Doctor had me excited for his full season. But most of the stories have been really underwhelming. So much so, that I more or less just gave up for a few months. But I saw that Nicola Coughlan was in the Christmas special, so I vowed to restart and finish the season. 73 Yards was actually really good, but then the next episode (Dot and Bubble), which held so much promise, just whimpered off at the end leaving me going "huh" (and not in a good way). The season two-parter seemed promising too, but also failed to make the most of it. Overall, disappointing.
The Christmas Special Joy to the World was ok. I enjoyed Nicola Coughlan's character (but then I enjoy everything she is in), but she kind of gets sidelined in her own story for a while. I enjoyed the middle section where the Doctor has to resolve a bootstrap paradox - we finally get to see a little bit of character development for Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor - but then it sort of evaporates. It was a far cry from the Christmas Specials of the Tennant/Smith era, but it could have been worse.
I have started Black Snow, and Black Doves this week.
I am not sure about either at this stage, but will give them a few more episodes.
I generally really enjoy Australian Drama's, this one is pretty slow moving.
Thoroughly enjoying Black Doves 7.5/10 Netflix
MP wife Helen embarks on a passionate affair with a man who has no idea what her secret identity is. Caught in the crosshairs when her lover falls victim to the dangerous London underworld, Helen's employers call in Sam to protect her.
Cliff hangers, Violence, Spy, Intrigue, High end diplomatic circles, low end underworld, drugs and all with a bit of humor thrown in as well.
Also just finished season 2 of The Diplomat 8/10 N Netflix
In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, lands in a high-profile job for which she is not suited, with tectonic implications for her marriage and her political future.
Cliff hangers, violence, spy, Intrigue, High end diplomatic circles, terrorism and again all with a bit of humor thrown in as well
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.
Black Snow ended well. It's slow the whole way through. Lots of misdirection and twists, but I'm into S2 already.
I'm 8 minutes into Cunk on Earth and wondering how it could be so highly rated and talked about as the best comedy in 2024.
Just watched all of Fallout.
I am unfamiliar with the video game.
IMDB: In a future, post-apocalyptic Los Angeles brought about by nuclear decimation, citizens must live in underground bunkers to protect themselves from radiation, mutants and bandits.
I enjoyed the mix of retro with future.
Quite violent, and yet also manages to hold a story and a plot.
Strangely compulsive viewing.

I enjoyed fallout but for some reason lost interest about the 4th or so episode.
I am really enjoying Landman.
