Prey.  It's a great return to form for Predator's franchise.

As above. Prey (Disney+) was so much better than I thought it would be. Great movie if you want to go back to the origins.

I watched The Gray Man on Netflix NZ over the weekend.

Really enjoyable. Chris Evans was so thoroughly unlikeable in that movie...he really did his character justice.

It was action-packed, while having a familiar theme and did almost feel like an homage to 1980's action thrillers.

8/10 for me.

Another +1 for Prey. Just a really enjoyable action movie. Great if you love Predator (the original) with a few clever nods to it too. Even if the original Predator is not your thing but you like action movies this will likely still appeal.

Pushing a 8/10.

Yet another vote for Prey. SWMBO and I quite enjoyed it.

The Gray Man. Not sure why it reviewed so averagely in various places, I really liked it. Reminded me a lot of the Orphan X books in many ways.  8.5/10

There is something about Ryan Gosling that makes me uneasy to do with his looks. He plays the part of this protagonist incredibly well IMO.

I wonder if they will make an Orphan X series in line with Reacher. I wonder who could play him.

Bradley Cooper was to play him but it fell through and now it is being made into a TV show with Gregg Hurwitz writing and executive producer.

That's awesome. Bradley Cooper isn't the actor I'd have imagined for that role.

I wonder if they will follow the 1 season per book ala Reacher, that would be cool.

That was an aspect I really enjoyed actually, it seemed so out of (typecast) character for him.

8/10 for me.

I kept thinking of Alan Rickman's Sheriff of Nottingham.  So over the top it was actually funny, but you needed the occasional moment of light relief to let your nerves calm down from all the action.  I don't remember any stand lines like Rickman's 'cancel Christmas'.

I watched it last night and ultimately was left a little disappointed. It could have been worse, but I felt it could have been a lot better too. 6.5/10 for me. The second half of the movie was better.
